Antique Chinese Bronze Buddha statue

This is a very unique Bronze piece.

The Buddha has a child like face and very serene expressions. His hand mudra is of the "no fear" style, symbolizing freedom from fear and removal of obstacles. The workmanship on this piece is exquisite with beautiful hands and painstakingly detailed hair. The robe is decorated with flowers with clearly defined knots and ties.

The statue has the remains of gold gilt it. The script to the back appears to be an archaic Chinese script. The last character is da (large/big).
