An excellent example of an 18th century Bulgarian Ottoman bronze bracelet. The bracelet is highly detailed and would have been made using the lost wax casting method. The bronze has developed a lovely rich patina from age, there are a few small cracks but generally its in good condition. The design of these bracelets has changed little since medieval times and are believed to have developed from earlier Thracian silver bracelets with twisted wire bridges. A wonderful piece that would make a great addition to any collection of ottoman or Bulgarian artifacts.
