A characterful Black Forest tabletop ashtray carved with a bear beside a stone-patterned well fitted with a metal ash bowl and tiny ladle. The front drawer is sized for cigarettes and cleverly triggers the musical movement—open the drawer and it plays, close it and it stops. Likely early 20th century and from Switzerland, with lovely hand-cut detailing to the fur and rockwork.

Dimensions 13 x 13 x 10 cm (5.1" x 5.1" x 3.9"). In good, timeworn condition: age patina and rubbing throughout, small chips and knocks to edges and corners, old wear and losses around the rear winder area, and handling wear to the drawer lip; stable and display-ready.
