Lovely little antique oak smoker’s cabinet with a diamond glazed door and working lock and key. Originally used to store tobacco, pipes and matches, it now makes a perfect small liquor, key or curios cabinet with real early 20th century gentleman’s club charm. The front is decorated with four rounded wooden bosses and a pretty brass escutcheon, framing the bevelled glass panel beautifully and giving strong cottagecore / old money study vibes.
Inside is a fixed shelf creating two compartments for tins, jars or small bottles, with a narrow base ledge below. The cabinet stands at around 30cm tall (approximately 11.8"), compact enough for a desk or sideboard but substantial enough to make a statement on its own or as part of a bar set-up. The oak has a warm, honeyed tone and visible grain that sits well alongside other antique and vintage pieces.
Condition is good and solid with age-appropriate surface marks, light scratches and small knocks to the wood, plus some light wear and speckling to the glass, all shown in the photos and consistent with an older smoker’s cabinet that’s been used and loved. The lock works smoothly and it comes with its key, ready to go straight into service.
