Large Edo Ife bronze statue depicting a Benin king / Obe with an elaborate crown and sword.
The statue would have been made using the lost wax technique where the statues are first created in wax, a mould set around the wax and then the wax replaced with molten bronze.
Made around the middle of the last century.
