A striking vintage Bokhara-style rug featuring a vivid turquoise field and intricate geometric medallion motifs in pink, navy, and ivory. Measuring approximately 130 x 80 cm (4'3" x 2'7"), this rug is a bold and colourful accent piece perfect for entryways, kitchens, or smaller seating areas.

Finely woven with a soft, low pile, in good vintage condition with no major faults or stains, and a clean reverse showing its hand-finished edges. A beautiful, eye-catching piece for any bohemian or maximalist interior.

Traditional Pakistan Bokhara Carpet (also spelled Bukhara) are among the most popular hand knotted rugs in the world. Many believe that the design originated within or near the (Uzbek) city of Bokhara, but it is actually from the nomadic Tekke tribe in Central Asia (the Tekke tribe's rugs were predominantly traded in the markets of Bokhara, however, and eventually acquired the name of the city).
