An really stunning girandole mirror dating from the first half of the 19th century. Gold gilded plaster, two candle sconces, the mirror itself with some foxing.
Unfortunately there is some damage with some bits of plaster missing but the mirror still looks great. The label to the back reads "Carver Gilder & Looking Glass Manufacturer Leeds - 21 Woodhouse Lane". A missing part of the label would have read J.Holloway. John Holloway appears in the Dictionary of British Furniture Makers as being at this address from 1827 - 38.
