A really beautiful antique typewriter exuding steampunk class. Appears to be functioning, the carriage moves as it should and there are no sticky keys, but untested with ink. Comes with original case which is in quite poor condition.

The Blickensderfer Typewriter Company, was based at Stamford, Conn , USA. In 1891, George C. Blickensderfer (1850-1917) invented a small portable writing machine that featured the ability to change type styles at will. This unique design formed the basis of a typewriter manufacturing business that lasted almost thirty years. The Model 7, offered in 1897, became the deluxe version of the basic design. This particular example was assembled in Britain and is also known as the "London Blick".
