A striking vintage hand-knotted tribal runner with a bold geometric design in rich madder red, deep indigo blue, ivory and soft saffron tones. The elongated narrow proportions make this an ideal hallway, bedside or layering piece, while the strong angular motifs and graphic borders give it a distinctly decorative, almost modernist feel despite its traditional origins. Likely Afghan Baluch (Baluchi), mid to late 20th century, with a finely detailed weave and crisp drawing throughout.
